Samantha Paton

Graphic Designer

I have many years experience in the Design industry, working on a wide variety of projects. After studying at Liverpool Polytechnic and Dundee College I landed my first job at DC Thompsons, working on the iconic  Jackie and Blue Jeans as a Magazine Designer, then as an Art Editor on Hali Magazine, a high end, bi-monthly publication featuring Islamic Art and Antique Carpets based in London. Feeling the need for family and home turf I returned to Dundee and have been working for the last 8 years as a Graphic Designer, working on everything from websites, logos and branding, advertising campaigns, exhibition work, signage and livery. After Chris moved back to Dundee too, it seemed only natural to join forces and create Kin.

Christian Paton

Web Developer

After studying an HND in design in Dundee and a BA Hons in Digital Media in Leeds I moved to London where I worked as a freelancer for some of the top digital agencies in London, including Studio Raw, Exposure, Airside, Brandworks, Columns, ABCD and many more. Having clocked up over 6 years experience down south I then moved back to Dundee where I continued to work on varied and exciting projects for the past 5 years.

I have a passion for modern, responsive, web design and development, specialising in custom WordPress theme development, but I’m not a full blown nerd, I also have rich experience with motion graphics and an eye for design and detail.
